This is a simple and easy -to-make scrumptious side dish. The roasted carrots are sweet and savoury, with olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper. Whether you need a tasty side dish for your holiday dinner or simply for a weeknight meal, Honey Roasted Carrots are an amazing choice.
You’ll need…….
Carrots
Use carrots that are moderately the same size so that they will cook evenly. Peel the carrots before glazing them.
Olive Oil
Olive oil will add more flavour to the honey glaze.
Honey
Honey adds sweetness to the glaze. Plus, it will slowly caramelize in the oven for a heavenly flavor.
Spices
Of course, the dish wouldn’t be complete without a simple salt and pepper seasoning.
Method
1.Select small- to medium-sized carrots that are almost the same size. Wash and peel the carrots, then put them in a baking dish.
2.Evenly coat the carrots with olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper.
3.Bake the carrots until they are tender (which takes about 30 minutes). If you like softer carrots, add a few extra minutes to the bake time.
Honey baked carrots can be prepared in advance. Its either you can prepare and glaze your carrots a few hours ahead of time and then bake them when you're ready, or you can bake the glazed carrots and store them in the fridge or freezer. When baked, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. When you’re ready for feasting, just reheat them in the microwave. They can last for up to three months in the freezer, but they soften over time, so its best to use them sooner rather than later
